FFB Team of the Week (#9)

There was a brawl for all at the end of Chelsea and Manchester United’s climactic 2-2 draw on Saturday lunchtime whilst Manchester City and Liverpool kept up their unbeaten runs without conceding. Spurs, Everton, Watford also grabbed wins.

Joe Hart: Any goalkeeper that concedes five gets put in the Team of the Week. It’s sort of the rules. Unlike his hair, he’s still trying to grow, though. AJ

Callum Paterson: This man gave us the best-worst free-kick routine perhaps in Premier League’s history. The fact that it led to a goal for Cardiff might be a detriment to the game, the sport and to Fulham as a whole. JD

Juan Mata: Gary Neville might have awarded the man of the match award to Ashley Young but Juan Mata was United’s brightest player on the ball and out of the United players deserved to be on the winning team the most. JD

Jonathan Hogg: God bless this man. No previous Premier League goals and a goal down at home to one of the fiercest teams in the league. Still knocks one against the post from 30 yards. Valiant. AJ

Etienne Capoue: My boy, my man. My hero. JD

Anthony Martial: He’s been out of form for a long, long time at Old Trafford and netted a rather unexpected brace at Chelsea. AJ

Daniel Sturridge: You wanna talk about guys putting in a solid 5/10 performance then look no further Daniel Sturridge. Liverpool looked toothless up front at times. AJ

Big Cenk Tosun: My boy, my man. My hero. AJ

Sergio Aguero: Yeah he scored but we also need to think about that absolutely god awful miss from millimetres away from goal. Poor showing Kun. JD

Marko Arnautovic: In a weekend full of missed opportunities, this lad takes the biscuit. He was offside for a potential equaliser off Chicharito and then went ahead and missed a blatant one-on-one. Could’ve turned 0 points into 3 at home to Spurs: like Jesus. JD

Yoshinori Muto: I don’t like to be dramatic but this Japanese forward cost his team a point on Saturday. His point blank header goes in, Newcastle don’t lose v Brighton. Simple. JD
