Betting Spreadsheet (Aug. 22 – 28)

I promised you some Dutch Jupiler League action last week and that’s exactly what I’m giving you this week.

I was itching to GET ON the Jupiler League’s first matchday but I stuck to my rules and waited until the second matchday. Roda JC were relegated last season and got off to a flier with a 2-1 win at home to Jong Ajax. The Jong (reserve) teams are usually bunched at the top of the league with the exception of Jong AZ Alkmaar, which is why I have backed them to lose to Cambuur, with Jong PSV to win at FC Oss. With the inflated odds that come with a Both teams to score and result coupon, this allows to earn big from our treble – and with that, keeping in with our rules.

Jupiler is a big money earner and a good way to earn money for the weekend accumulators, which I have strayed away so far this season because of a slow influx of money coming in from my Friday night betting. With the change of the UEFA club competitions’ qualification it has bred an unpredictability, as seen last week with Celtic’s draw at Suduva.

The Jupiler on Friday night did go as expected, 5 of the 9 matches on offer ended with both teams to score and a winning team, with just two teams on the entire night (Telstar and Volendam) not scoring. Unfortunately, despite Roda and Cambuur netting me two 2-1 victories, Jong PSV lost 4-1 (still a BTTS & Result but not the one we wanted). Our winnings are dwindling but as you can see from the spreadsheet, we’re still in profit for the month.

Preview (August 29 – September 4)

Now I don’t know if you have heard of the Kontinental Hockey League but it’s big news in our household. The 2018-19 season starts at the weekend. Best market I could offer to you here, is the double chance market. There were a few runaway teams last season: SKA Saint Petersburg lost just five games in the Western Conference but were eventually beaten by CSKA Moscow in the Conference finals in April. Ak Bars Kazan are the defending champions and were the Eastern Conference’s top seeds going into the Gagarin play-offs. Unfortunately, my two favourites in Ak Bars and SKA open the season up on Saturday afternoon.

If I was to tip a double chance treble for this weekend’s opening fixtures (my opening day rules are irrelevant in ice hockey) it would be:

Metallurg Magnitogorsk or draw v Slovan Bratislava: 11/100

Spartak Moscow or draw v Amur Khabarvosk: 1/4

Jokerit or draw v Kunlun Red Star: 3/25

£5 returns £7.77 – small returns, big wins in the long run.
