The Betting Spreadsheet (Aug. 8 – 14)

So. We made good inroads last week. We start with a clean £5.00. Luckily my bookmakers of choice (naming no names here, we don’t bow to sponsorships on FFB) handed me a lovely credit of £5 first thing Monday morning. We shelved our previous week’s leftovers for the time being. First bet of the week, Wednesday, we eased into it. We needed something easy, something odds-on, something to give us plenty of money to throw about for the Football League weekend. The bookies looked as though they were practically giving away the £3.66 profit. But cheers, Celtic.

Given such a small profit from the previous bet, we just rolled it over. We broke the accumulator rule, okay, but that’s because we had so much match choice on offer. Eight teams, not too ridiculous. The other £5.00 coming well into use on Thursday night. I love this game. Big wins – maybe I should change our rulebook?

Rangers, Leipzig, Apollon Limassol, FC Sheriff, Olympiakos, Rosenborg, Brondby all won. Just Nordsjaelland – the most left-field choice – let me down.

0 out of 2 bets won, I was starting to fall out of love for the game. I took the weekend off.

Preview (Aug. 15 – 21)

SummerSlam 2018

Wrestling betting – what could go wrong?

Brock Lesnar has held the WWE Universal Title long enough to surpass CM Punk’s recent record of 434 days as a world champion therefore he can let go of it for the BIG DAWG Roman Reigns who has been the heir apparent for at least four years, despite not being over with the fans. Lesnar seems set for more UFC fights and surprisingly Roman Reigns is 1/2 to win.

We head to the other world title fight: AJ Styles v Samoa Joe. The TNA alumni fighting over a WWE world title. AJ Styles is shockingly not odds-on to keep his WWE Title over on SkyBet. Another one of my tips is to whack a couple of quid on Ronda Rousey’s match to finish with a submission: that’s at 4/9 with SkyBet.

Dutch Jupiler League

Breaking a few rules here, as it is the opening matchday on Friday 17th but I feel as though with the famous Jupiler, my rule doesn’t matter all that much. The majority of my big wins come through this handsome little division. Betting on full-time results markets is such a waste in this division as the majority of the league’s match finishes with both teams having scored. Bypass the match result and go straight for match result and both teams to score – there are bigger odds. Over 3.5 goals is a good one here, too.
